About The JOES

The Just and Omnifarious Enterprise of Service (JOES) Foundation, Inc. started as a group of civic-minded amateur hockey players that wanted to make their world a little bit better. Many of us grew up or have at least grown roots here in Jacksonville and wanted to find a way to invest something meaningful back into our community. Playing beer league hockey on the weekends just wasn't getting it done.

So turning to another shared passion, kayaking, the JOES Foundation was created, starting with the simple task of cleaning up Jacksonville's waterways, one soggy bag at a time. We go slow, we do what we can while being mindful of safety, and always leave the rivers a little (sometimes a lot!) cleaner than we found them.

If you're passionate about your community and you don't mind a little sunshine and a little good will - we invite you to join the JOES at our next event. We update our website and Facebook page regularly, and we're always open to new and creative means to a worthwhile end.

Vision Statement: Toward a better community, a better world, and a better way.

Mission Statement:
The JOES Foundation pledges to engage all necessary faculties in the dogged pursuit of a healthy community for all.
